Attorney General Dave Yost has joined a bipartisan coalition of AGs from other states to investigate Facebook for “potential anti-competitive conduct” stemming from the social-media giant’s dominance in the industry, according to New York Attorney General Letitia James.
“We will use every investigative tool at our disposal to determine whether Facebook’s actions may have endangered consumer data, reduced the quality of consumers’ choices, or increased the price of advertising,” James said in a release Friday.
Besides Yost and James, the leadership team investigating Facebook includes the attorneys general of Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Nebraska, North Carolina, Tennessee, and the District of Columbia, according to James’ release.
